Shareholder Registration Dates Updated
La Gaceta issue from April 3rd, published a notice stating the new deadlines for filing the registration for shareholders.
As you may know, it is required to file with the Central Bank of Costa Rica (BCCR) a list of the shareholders owning more than 15% of the shares of any given company in Costa Rica (SLRs, SAs, Civil Societies, so on and so forth).
The deadlines are based on the last digit of the ID number of the company which shown below.

| 6 y 7 | December 2019 |
| 8 y 9 | January 2020 |
The company that fails to complete the registration must pay a fine equivalent to 2% of the gross revenue of the company according to the last income tax filing. The fine will be no less than 1,338.660 colones and no more than 44,622,000 colones.
