Business Restrictions From April 13th Until April 30th, 2020
Temporary closure of all establishments with sanitary operating permits that provide care to the public, on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. the following day.
Full closure of these establishments on Saturdays and Sundays.
The above from this Monday, April 13th and until Thursday, April 30th, 2020.
Exceptions:
a) Delivery services.
b) Institutions that due to the nature of their functions must remain open, such as the State’s immigration, customs, phytosanitary services, land, sea and air border posts, among others.
c) Community services by Municipalities.
d) The municipal services offices, with a reduction of fifty percent (50%) of their normal maximum occupation capacity.
e) Public and private health establishments (clinics, pharmacies, hospitals, laboratories, doctor’s offices, radiodiagnostic services, emergency services, among others), as well as veterinary clinics.
f) Supermarkets, suppliers, bakeries, butchers, greengrocers, and grocery stores.
g) Establishments that sell agricultural products, with a reduction of fifty percent (50%) of their normal maximum occupation capacity.
h) Hygiene supply establishments, with a reduction of fifty percent (50%) of their normal maximum occupation capacity.
i) Public or private banking services, with a reduction of fifty percent (50%) of their normal maximum occupation capacity.
j) Fuel supply services.
k) Funeral homes and / or wake chapels, with a reduction of fifty percent (50%) of their normal maximum occupation capacity.
l) Public and private establishments where there is commercialization of agricultural, livestock, fishing and aquaculture products, such as fairs and markets, with a reduction of fifty percent (50%) of their normal maximum occupation capacity.
m) Childcare and development centers.
n) Care centers for people in vulnerable conditions.
o) “Rent a car” vehicle rental establishments only for the purpose of providing assistance services to already rented vehicles, as well as receiving returned vehicles.
p) Parking lots, only for the purpose of providing said service to personnel or users of health services.
q) All those other establishments with sanitary operating permits that do not provide face-to-face care to the public.
In the case of hotels, cabins, or accommodation establishments, only those that provide accommodation to:
a) Foreign tourists who are already in the country.
b) Flight crews or cases of special services.
c) Long-stay tourists or residents of the hotel.
d) Provide accommodation services to Public Administration officials or public services providers (banking, transportation of values, communications, electricity), or in the case of people who are working in the distribution of merchandise or food items and basic necessities, medicines, agricultural or veterinary supplies.
e) Provide services to embassies.
The establishments exempted in the previous paragraph must guarantee the strict application of the protocols of the Department of Health to avoid the spread of COVID-19.
Establishments with sanitary operating permits that provide care to the public during the hours established in accordance with the provisions of the Resolution issued by the Department of Health, must operate with a reduction of fifty percent (50%) of their normal maximum occupation capacity, with strict compliance with the protocols of the said Department.
